Isleta Resort & Casino is Closed Temporarily Due to Increased Statewide Health Concerns.

(ISLETA PUEBLO, NM)  Officials at Isleta Resort & Casino have announced the closing of its casino and all resort properties beginning at 11:59PM on Monday, November 16th.  Isleta Resort & Casino made the decision to shut down temporarily in light of the recent spike in Covid-19 cases nationwide and specifically in New Mexico.

“Isleta is concerned about the recent spike in Covid-19 cases within our state,” said Governor Max Zuni, Isleta Pueblo.  “We want to encourage the public and our team members to stay home for a short time to help flatten the curve and to be a good community partner”.

Governor Zuni went on to say, “Isleta Resort & Casino has been an industry leader in establishing Covid-Safe periodicals and training programs for its staff.  We have installed new safety equipment in all areas.  But even with all this in place we still feel it is in everyone’s best interest to stay home for a while so we all can remain safe.”  Isleta Resort & Casino received certification by the state of NM in Covid-Safe practices.

Currently, Isleta plans on re-opening the Resort & Casino after the reassessment of Covid-19 situation.  All Isleta Resort & Casino employees will be retested for Covid-19 before being able to return to work following the closure.
